      The Terryville Fire Department's Ladder Company No. 1 is housed at the headquarters station on Harwinton Ave.  The Ladder Company accounts for the department's truck and rescue company operations including search, ventilation, and extrication procedures.  The company currently runs a Simon Duplex/LTI 75' Tower Ladder and one Spartan/Rescue 1 Mfg. Heavy Rescue equipped with a full compliment of vehicle extrication equipment.  They also operate a 16' enclosed trailer that houses all of the below grade/confined space equipment.  The company is headed by a Captain and two Lieutenants and currently has a total of 26 members.
